Nepal Police Club (NPC) secured a comprehensive victory over Bagmati Province by 93 runs in the ongoing PM Cup 2025. This triumph marked NPC’s seventh consecutive win, solidifying their position at the top of the tournament standings with an unblemished record.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, NPC posted a formidable total of 297 for 8 in their allotted 50 overs. The innings was anchored by opener Kushal Bhurtel, who played a commanding knock of 88 runs off 98 deliveries, including 11 boundaries. His opening partner, Amit Shrestha, contributed a brisk 48 runs from 51 balls. The duo established a solid foundation with a 124-run partnership for the first wicket. Despite a mid-innings wobble, NPC’s middle-order batters, Aarif Sheikh (38) and captain Dipendra Singh Airee (60), ensured the team reached a competitive total.

Pratish GC picked up three wickets for Bagmati Province.

In response, Bagmati Province struggled to build momentum against NPC’s disciplined bowling attack. They were restricted to 204 in 45.2 overs, falling short of the target by 93 runs. The batting lineup faced challenges in forming substantial partnerships, leading to a steady fall of wickets and an increasing required run rate. The match concluded with Bagmati Province unable to mount a successful chase, handing NPC a convincing victory. Ishan Pandey tried his best scoring 70 runs whereas Shubh Kansakar made 30 runs.

Lalit Rajbanshi continued his good form picking up four wickets whilst Kushal Bhurtel got three. Bhurtel was adjudged as POTM for his brilliant all-round performance.
