Nepal Police Club emerged victorious in the third edition of the MM Cup One Day National Tournament 2082, defeating defending champions Tribhuwan Army Club by 24 runs in a thrilling final held at GPK Cricket Ground, Baijanathpur, Biratnagar.
Winning the toss, the Army Club opted to bowl first. Nepal Police Club posted a competitive total of 239 in their allotted 50 overs. Army bowlers Naren Saud, Durgesh Gupta, and Tul Thapa took two wickets apiece.
In reply, Tribhuwan Army looked well on course for a successful chase at 130/1 at one stage. However, a dramatic collapse followed, and they were eventually bowled out for 215 in 48 overs. Himanshu Dutta top-scored with 63, and Nischal Chhetri contributed 36, but the middle and lower order crumbled under pressure.
