The Nepal Police Club has started the KP Oli T20 tournament with a commanding win over Madhesh Province. Kushal Bhurtel was the star in a 57-run win with a terrific century and one wicket.
In the first match of Group C, Police posted 175/5 after opting to bat first. Kushal Bhurtel alone scored 102 runs from 57 balls, including eight fours and seven sixes. Another opener Sunil Dhamala scored a sluggish 47-ball 45 whereas Karan KC ended things with 16 runs from five balls.
Bishal Patel and Bishal Shusling picked up two wickets each for Madhesh.
In response, Madhesh Province could score only 118 runs before being bowled out in 18.2 overs. They were seven down for 57 after 12 overs when Rupesh Sing came and smacked 25-ball 40 runs. Their star players Harishankar Sah (4), Anil Shah (0) and Pawan Sarraf (2) were unable to do any special.
Police Club used seven bowlers in the match. Karan KC, Rashid Khan, Sagar Dhakal and Lalit Rajabnshi picked up two wickets each for them. Kushal Bhurtel and Sunil Dhamala also pocketed one wicket each.
