Tribhuwan Army Club are off to a winning start in the Prime Minister (PM) Cup 2025. Army Club defeated Bagmati province by a massive 134 runs in Siddhartha Cricket Ground, Bhairahawa.
Opting to bat first, Army posted 262/8 in the allotted 50 overs. Trit Raj Das and Santosh Karki added 96 runs for the opening wicket before Trit departed for 36. Santosh Karki batted well and made 76 runs. Binod Bhandari and Bibek Yadav made 47* and 33 runs respectively whereas Kushal Malla hammered 12-ball 26 runs to boost up the score.
For Bagmati, Rijan Dhakal, Pratish GC and Ishan Pandey picked up two wickets each.
In reply, Bagmati were bowled out for just 128 runs in 27 overs. Aakash Chand destroyed the top order of Bagmati with three wickets whereas Shahab Alam grabbed four wickets. Sompal Kami, Naren Saud and Basir Ahamad also grabbed one wicket each.
For Bagmati, Bibek Rana Magar played beautifully with 51 runs whereas Ishan Pandey made 19 runs. Apart from him, no other batters were able to do anything special.
Meanwhile, Bagmati Province has suffered two consecutive defeats. They were beaten by APF in the opening match.
