Nepal Women Under-19s faced India Women Under-19s in the ACC Women’s Under-19 Asia Cup 2024 match held on Tuesday in Kuala Lumpur.
Nepal batted first, posting a total of 94 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Puja Mahato top-scored with 25 runs, while wicketkeeper Alisha Yadav contributed a quickfire 20 not out off 9 balls.
India’s bowler Parunika Sisodia was particularly effective, claiming 4 wickets for 12 runs in her 4-over spell.
In response, India reached 28 runs without losing a wicket in 3.1 overs before the match was interrupted, leading to a no-result outcome.
Opener Gongadi Trisha was unbeaten on 17 runs.
The match was ultimately abandoned due to unforeseen circumstances, and both teams shared points.
Nepal Women Under-19s topped the Group A table with 3 points whilst India Women Under-19 team are placed at the second with same number of points. Both teams earlier registered their win against Pakistan Women Under-19 team.
