Madhesh Province has announced a new captain for both Men’s and Women’s Cricket teams. Anil Sah has been appointed as the new captain of the Men’s team whereas Puja Mahato has been appointed as the captain of the Women’s team.
The Madhesh Province Cricket Association’s meeting on February 22 made that decision. Harishankar Shah served as the captain of Madhesh’s men’s cricket team, while the women’s team saw frequent changes in leadership. Madhesh expressed gratitude to Hari for his contributions and decided to relieve him of the captaincy. In the women’s team, leadership transitioned from Kabita Gautam to Saraswati Chaudhary, and later to Roji Kadari.
As a result of the decision, Anil Sah will captain Madhesh in the PM Cup Men’s Cricket Tournament. He previously led Janakpur Bolts in the Nepal Premier League, where the team secured the title.
