Nepal’s young leggie, Sandeep Lamichhane claimed three wickets on his way for PSL debut for Lahore Qalandars against Multan Sultan on Friday at Sharjah.
Qalandars opted to bowl first but were put under immense pressure by the opponent’s opener James Vince, as he welcomed Lamichhane with a six off his first ball, ending his first over for 18 runs.
Lamichhane, though, hit back dismissing Vince for 84 runs off 41 balls with 6 sixes and 7 fours. His very first PSL wicket gave some momentum to his bowling and helped dismissed Shoaib Mallik for 10 runs and Andre Russell for 7 runs later.
Three wickets in four overs were achieved on his debut but on the expensive side. According to Cricviz, it was the most expensive spell of Lamichhane’s T20 career. He gave away 46 runs in the spell. It was also the third occasion where Lamichhane had gone for more than 40 runs in T20 spell.
