Nepal’s star leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has announced that he will not continue under the central contract of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).
In a heartfelt post on Facebook, Sandeep said this decision is not a step away from cricket or his country but a move toward personal and professional growth. He thanked CAN for their support over the years and made it clear that he will still play for the national team with full passion and dedication.
“My loyalty to my country and love for cricket will always remain strong,” he wrote. “Sometimes, choices are made not from separation, but from a place of purpose and growth.”
CAN has confirmed that it has received Sandeep’s message and said a decision will be made after a meeting.
Sandeep Lamichhane attended Team Nepal’s farewell event held today in Mulpani ahead of their tour to Scotland.
