Mithila Warriors have emerged as the champions of the Madhesh Premier League 2025. In a thrilling finale at the PABI School Ground in Rajbiraj, Saptari, Mithila Warriors defeated Saptari Balan Bihul Bishnupur Super Kings by five wickets to claim the title.

Opting to bat first, Saptari Balan Bihul posted a competitive total of 153 runs in 19.5 overs. Opener Lokesh Bam gave them a flying start with a blistering 41 off just 17 balls, while Bibek Yadav finished the innings with a decent 45 off 21 deliveries. Mithila Warriors’ bowling unit, however, kept things under control with Basant Khatri picking up three wickets, while Sher Malla and Kushal Bhurtel chipped in with two each.

In response, Mithila Warriors chased down the target with composure, reaching 154/5 in 18.3 overs. Star performer Kushal Bhurtel led the charge with a fluent 58 off 36 balls and was deservedly named Player of the Match. He was well supported by Ravi Kumar Shah (44) and Bashir Ahmad (25), ensuring their side crossed the finish line with ease.

Under the leadership of captain Dipendra Singh Airee, the Mithila Warriors squad, which included standout players like Bhurtel, Sher Malla, Nandan Yadav, and Bashir Ahmad, showed great consistency throughout the tournament.

The league also celebrated individual brilliance: Bishal Patel was named Player of the Series, Sher Malla bagged the Best Bowler title, Aasif Sheikh was declared Best Batter, and Bhim Yadav shone as the Emerging Player.
