Sudurpaschim Province secured their first victory in the ongoing PM Cup 2025, successfully chasing down the target set by Gandaki Province. Kiran Thagunna’s century played a crucial role in the six-wicket win.
Opting to bat first, Gandaki posted 220/8 in the allotted 50 overs. Two young batters, Deepak Dumre and Arjun Kumal scored a half-century to stabilize the inning. Deepak scored 60 runs while Arjun made 57. Sudip Aryal hammered 23 runs at the end.
For Sudurpaschim, Sher Malla picked up three wickets whereas Narayan Joshi pocketed two wickets.
In reply, Sudurpaschim chased the target in 43 overs losing only four wickets. Kiran Thagunna was the star of the chase with an unbeaten 121 runs from 101 deliveries. He smacked nine fours and six sixes in that superb inning. Narayan Joshi also contributed 38 runs.
Sudurpaschim bags two points after a win. They suffered a defeat against Karnali in the first match.
