Kathmandu/Cricnepal: Cricket Association of Nepal(CAN) Secretary XI defeat Nepal Telecom XI by 65 runs in a friendly T20 match played at Tribhuwan University Ground, Kirtipur on Saturday.
Prafulla Vaidhya, Kiran Rana and Maheshwor Shrestha batted CAN to a big total of 201 runs in loss of five wickets off the maximum 20 overs. Vaidhya scored 67 runs from 46 balls that included ten fours while Rana smashed two fours and three sixes in his 26 balls-47 inning. Shrestha had 47 runs from 28 deliveries with five fours.
For, Nepal Telecom, Gopal Singh KC picked up two wickets while Prakash Gupta took a wicket.
In reply, a brilliant bowling display from Rana and Vaidhya helped CAN restrict NT to a 136 runs with loss of seven wickets in alloted 20 overs. K Rana and Srininwas Rana picked up two wickets each for CAN. Vaidhya also picked up a wicket.
