Nepal wins ICC Digital Fan Engagement Initiative of the Year award

Nepal has been awarded ‘ICC Digital Fan Engagement Initiative of the Year’. Recognizing groundbreaking achievements in the Associate cricket community, six nations were honoured as ICC Development Award winners for 2023.

On April 24, the Cricket Association of Nepal was awarded Asia Regional Winner for the ICC Digital Fan Engagement of the Year. The regional winners progressed as global nominees, with Nepal also being announced as a winner in the global award category. This recognition highlights the strong engagement of fans on digital platforms.

Announced by the ICC on Wednesday, Mexico, Oman, Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, Nepal and Scotland received honours across six categories, with winners selected from a 21-nation shortlist by the ICC Development Awards Panel.

The six award categories that acknowledged the achievements of 21 ICC Associate members are: the ICC Development Initiative of the Year, recognizing efforts to promote cricket’s growth; the 100% Cricket Women’s Cricket Initiative of the Year, which focuses on the development of women’s cricket; the ICC Digital Fan Engagement of the Year, honouring innovative digital fan outreach; the Cricket 4 Good Social Impact Initiative of the Year, for projects making a positive impact in communities; and two awards celebrating the best performances in men’s and women’s international cricket for 2023.
