The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has lifted the suspension of cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane.
CAN lifted his suspension immediately after the Patan High Court acquitted him in the rape case.
With the suspension lifted, Lamichhane is now allowed to participate in all types of domestic and international matches.
CAN is also intending to send him to the USA and the West Indies for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Following the acquittal by the Patan High Court in the rape case, CAN has decided to allow him to play in the World Cup.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) permits participating teams to adjust their initial selections until May 25, which offers a chance for Lamichhane to potentially join the squad.
