Bagmati Province has unveiled their 15-member squad for the upcoming Prime Minister (PM) Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament, with Prithu Banskota leading the team.

Former Captain Rit Gautam is also in the team. However, the captaincy has been handed to the experienced Prithu Baskota.

The squad was selected based on Bagmati Province’s selection tournament. In the final held on Thursday, Lalitpur emerged victorious over Makwanpur to claim the title.

With extensive experience in domestic cricket, Prithu Banskota had an impressive tournament after coming back in the domestic tournament and has been named captain. Suman Sunar and Shaurav Shakhakarmi, who performed really well in the selection tournament, have also been included in the squad alongside Shubh Kansakar who’s in great touch in domestic cricket.

Nandan Yadav, Rijan Dhakal, Pratish GC, and Gautam KC are the pacers in the squad while Surya Tamang, Sonu Devkota and Bipin Acharya are the spinners in the team.

Rit Gautam, Aasutosh Ghiraiya and Ishan Pandey are the top order baters with Bibek Rana Magar being in the team as wicket-keeper batter.

Bagmati has once again assembled a young and well-balanced squad. They delivered a strong performance in the previous edition of the PM Cup, finishing third and securing qualification for the Jay Trophy Men’s Elite Cup.

Bagmati will start the campaign on March 9, playing against APF in Extra Tech Oval Cricket Ground.
