Cricnepal/Kathmandu: Nepal faced yet another defeat in the T20 Blind Cricket World Cup after they lost to South Africa by Duckworth-Lewis method in a rain interrupted match today at L.D Srinatham Stadium.
Winning the toss, South Africa invited Nepal to field first. With a significant batting performances, South Africa put up a total of 298 runs losing only two wickets. Sinonwablebidla(124) and Desiganpillay(104) both struck centuries for South Africa. Jermaincollins scored 26. Nepal failed to grab quick wickets which cost them a big target. Bikram Bahadur Rana and Ram Prasad Paudel took a wicket each for Nepal.
In reply, Nepal had no good start. Nepal were at 118 for 5 in 13 overs. The rain at the 13th over led the match to end with a D/L method where South Africa won. Rana for Nepal scored 28 runs while Surya Bhattarai(18) and Shankar Regmi(14) were some other major contributors.
Three of the wickets went as run out while Veronon took the other two wickets for South Africa.
Nepal will now face West Indies on Thursday.
