Cricnepal/Kathmandu – Ministry of Youth and Sports honored national cricket team skipper Paras Khadka with National Sports Talent Award on the occasion of World Youth Day today.
Government of Nepal granted NRs. One lakh Rupees to Skipper as he was selected for “National Sports Talent Award 2070”. The Award was distributed amid a special ceremony organised to celebrate World Youth Day at Rastriya Sabha Griha in Kathmandu.
Along with Khadka, Jamuna Gurung (Captain of Women’s Football), Sunila Lama (Karate) & Chahana Bomjom (Wushu) were also awarded in the function.
Under his leadership, Nepal won the ICC World Cricket League Division 4 in Malaysia and Division 3 in Bermuda and ACC Trophy Elite in UAE. Similary, Nepal were the runners-up in the ACC Twenty20 Cup 2013 played on home soil.
The award was felicitated by Chairman of the interim election government Khil Raj Regmi & Minister for Youth and Sports Ram Kumar Shrestha.
