After the Group Stage Matches, it is confirmed that the group winner of Group B – Nepal will play against Runner up of Group A – Qatar on Tuesday’s semifinal of the ACC U-19 Elite Cup cricket 2011.
Qatar finished as Group A runners-up behind defending champions Hong Kong. Afghanistan also made into last four beating UAE on Sunday.
On Sunday, Afghanistan defeated UAE by 6 wickets in a must win match for both team. UAE were bowled out for 106 in 30.4 overs – a target that Afghanistan achieved in 29.1 overs losing four wickets.
Hong Kong successfully defended 119 bowling out Malaysia for 104 runs. Their 15-run win ensured the re-match of last edition´s final against Afghanistan in the other semifinal.
The semifinal will be held at AIT Ground. Nepal has never played Qatar in U-19 age-group.
