Cricnepal/Kathmandu: Nepal Blind Cricket Team lost their second match that was played against Sri Lanka by 177 runs today at Central College Cricket Ground, Bangalore, India.
Winning the toss, Nepal opted to field first. Sri Lanka put a great batting performance as they set up a massive total of 314 runs with the loss of three wickets in 20 overs. Man of the match Rabindra from Sri Lanka smashed 134 runs while, Deshpriya and Gunaverdana contributed 75 and 29 runs each. Surya Prasad Bhattarai took two wickets and Amar Oli picked one for Nepal.
In reply, Nepal couldn’t show a good batting and had to struggle for runs and thus managed to score only 137 runs for six wickets. Bikram Bahadur Rana scored 26, Madan Badela added 25 while Shankar Regmi and Ram Prasad Paudel scored 16 and 13 runs each. For Sri Lanka, Mathu grabbed two wickets while Karuna Tilaka, Gunaverdana, Saman and Rabindra claimed wicket apiece.
Nepal on Sunday had defeated Bangladesh by nine wickets.
Nepal will now face South Africa on Tuesday at L.D. Srinath Stadium.
