Kathmandu – Nepalese in Australia conducted Fundraising Cricket match today in Sydney for the treatment of Cricketer Prithu Baskota.
Nepalese Cricket Association Australia (NCAA) and Overseas Nepali Forum Australia together organized the Twenty20 match between NCAA-XI and Lumbini Cricket Club in Wyatt Park, Lidcombe.
Baskota is currently in Sydney for his Knee treatment that occurred during ICC World Cup Qualifiers in New Zealand last year.
Rs. 1.6 million is already expended for his treatment in which Cricket Association of Nepal provided US$ 5000. He had gone through knee surgery and now he is under physio therapy twice a week.
“Due my injury, I failed my place in the World Cup Squad during ICC World Twenty20 held at Bangladesh. I am recovering now and probably will be playing at the end of this year.”, Baskota said.
