Kathmandu – Mulpani Sports Club handed over a memorandum demanding the construction of the Mulpani Cricket Stadium at the earliest to the Minister for Youth and Sports Purushottam Paudel on Wednesday.
Ramesh Tiwari, President of the Club, said the locals of Mulpani had provided the 400-ropani land to the National Sports Council (NSC) and Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) to construct the cricket ground some 15 years ago.
“We want clarification from the government as to why the stadium was not completed in so many years,” stated the memorandum. The club has also asked the ministry to work as per the agreement reached before taking the land and include Mulpani residents in the board of the cricket governing body.
