Kathmandu/Cricnepal: The meeting of the ICC Development Committee set in Bangkok, Thailand on 15 and 16 May came with the decision to provide the hosting rights to Malaysia of the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division IV which is to be held later in the year. The date has not been confirmed yet according to the official website of International Cricket Council(ICC).
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Haroon Lorgat, the ICC Chief Executive. With the decision, Nepal’s chances of hosting the event is over and will be empty handed as ACC and ICC have no any events listed to be hosted in Nepal this year.
Nepal(3rd in 2010 ICC World Cricket League Division Four) will participate in the Division IV along with Denmark(5th in 2011 ICC World Cricket League Division Three), United States (6th in 2011 ICC World Cricket League Division Three), Tanzania (4th in 2010 ICC World Cricket League Division Four), Singapore (1st in 2012 ICC World Cricket League Division Five) and Malaysia (2nd in 2012 ICC World Cricket League Division Five).
