Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) approved Rs 90 million annual budget for Cricket development in Nepal.
CAN’s central committee meeting on Tuesday also announced more than Rs 50 million will be set aside for infrastructure development. CAN has planned to prepare five grounds — Mulpani, TU, Engineering College, Pokhara and Bhairahawa. CAN is also considering preparing wickets in Kakarvitta, Lamahi and Kohalpur.
Binay Raj Pandey, President of CAN also informed CAN plan to organise U-16 Women’s Tournament as well as club-level cricket. “We have decided to allow clubs to hire maximum of four foreign players,” he added. CAN meeting also decided to request the National Sports Council to extend their election deadline by two more months.
