Armed Police Force (APF) Club sealed the spot in the final of the ongoing Prime Minister Cup National One Day Tournament thrashing Madhesh Province. APF were victorious by seven wickets at TU Cricket Ground.
The department side chased the tiny target of 123 in 21.3 overs, losing just three wickets. Lokesh Bam scored run-a-ball 35 while Pradeep Airee made 33. Opener Aasif Sheikh also contributed 25. Rupesh Singh picked up a couple of wickets for Madhesh.
Earlier, Madhesh were bundled out for a mere 122 in 31 overs. Kamal Airee was the pick of a bowler, taking four wickets. Spinners Bhuwan Karki and Mousam Dhakal also grabbed two wickets each. Rupesh Singh coming to bat at number 10, hammered 23-balls 36* to guide Madhesh past a triple-digit score.
Tribhuwan Army Club and Nepal Police Club will battle in the second semifinal. It is confirmed that the final will be a departmental derby.
