Anil Sah will be missing the upcoming Jay Trophy. Nepal’s star batter will be another major missing in the tournament due to an injury.
Sah, who played a crucial role in helping Madhesh secure a spot in the Jay Trophy, sustained an injury during the later stages of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). He missed the entire playoffs in Jankpur’s title-winning campaign after suffering an injury in the left hand. Sah will be out for 4-5 weeks more.
Anil emerged as the leading run-scorer in the PM Cup 2024, amassing 386 runs in nine matches, including a century and two half-centuries. His stellar performance in the tournament paved the way for his return to the national team after a prolonged absence.
Pawan Sarraf will be another big miss for Madhesh Province in the tournament. Sarraf is yet to recover well as he also missed NPL.
