Sita Rana Magar ended the FairBreak Invitational tournament on a high note. Playing for Tornadoes Women, Nepal’s superstar all-rounder picked up three wickets against Sapphires Women in the fifth-place match.
Invited to bat first, Tornadoes were restricted to 115/5 in 20 overs. However, Sapphires, in reply, were bowled out for a mere 60 runs in 14.2 overs after Winifred Duraisingam, Sita Rana Magar and Chanida Sutthiruang’s three-wicket haul each.

The left-arm slow orthodox bowler conceded just 17 runs from her four-over spell and dismissed Maryam Omar, Erin Burns, and Kary Chan. This is Sita’s best bowling performance in the tournament.
Nepal’s national women’s team captain Rubina Chhetri also was terrific in Barmy Army’s win in the previous match. Rubina scored 32* and became the first-ever associate bowler to grab a fifer in the tournament and received the player of the match.
