Rubina Chhetri and Sita Rana Magar shine in Women’s All Stars T20 Opener
Nepal women’s cricket team’s veteran players Sita Rana Magar and Rubina Chhetri have performed well in the first match of the Women’s All Stars T20 Series in Hong Kong.
The opening match of the tournament saw Sita Rana Magar’s Jade Jets take on Rubina Chhetri’s Bauhinia Stars. Sita’s Jade Jets secured a win in the contest, but both Nepalese players showcased a commendable performance during the game.
Jade Jets set a total of 132/4 in 20 overs while batting first. Sita emerged as the top scorer for the Jets, contributing 40 runs from 36 balls and hitting two boundaries. Rubina picked up one wicket for Stars.
In reply, Bauhinia Stars reached a total of 93/4 in 20 overs, falling short by 39 runs. The top scorer for Stars was Rubina, who scored an unbeaten 35 runs from 39 balls.
Nepal will play a four-nation T20I series in Hong Kong starting from 15 November. Both star players will join the team after this tournament.
