Nepal’s former U-19 skipper, Rit Gautam has been signed by Geyser City Cricket Club to play a major domestic competition in New Zealand.
Rit will feature in the premier side of Geyser City in the upcoming season of premier club cricket, which is the highest level of club cricket in New Zealand.
“Some tournaments are Bay Cup One day competition, Williams cup. Some clubs have current blackcaps players like Colin de Grandhome, Trent Boult, Neil Wagner and Jeet Raval. Also a few of T20 tournaments as well”, Rit said to Cricnepal.
“I am very excited to get the opportunity to play against some big Test players. It is a big-level tournament, I will probably return after the six months season. I approached over 30 plus clubs and Geyser CC is the only one that responded. They are taking care of all the logistics during my stay”, Rit added.
Rit currently is in Delhi for training, where he along with some other Nepalese youngsters shared some time with Indian opener, Shikhar Dhawan.
