Nepal Women Under-19s registered a historic six-wicket victory over Pakistan Women Under-19s in the 4th match of Group A at the ACC Women’s Under-19 Asia Cup 2024 held in Kuala Lumpur on December 16.
Opting to bat first, Pakistan posted a total of 104 for 5 in their 20 overs. Komal Khan was the standout performer, scoring 38 runs off 43 balls.
Nepal’s bowling attack was led by captain Puja Mahato, who took 2 wickets for 27 runs, and Rachana Chaudhary, who contributed with 1 wicket for 11 runs.
Chasing 105, Nepal achieved the target in 19 overs, finishing at 105 for 4, thanks to Puja Mahato, who anchored the innings with an unbeaten 47 off 47 balls. The all-round performance also earned her the Player of the Match award. Seemana KC supported with a steady 12 not out.
