Nepal U-16 team registered their second consecutive win in the ongoing ACC U-16 Elite Cup 2012 defeating Bahrain by eight wickets.
Bahrain won the toss and elected to bat first at Kinrara Oval in Kuala Lumpur. Nepal restricted them to a modest total of 141 runs in 39.5 overs. Akash Bista took three wickets (7.5-2-14-3) while Kalicharan Yadav (8-1-32-2) and Rupesh Bastola (8-0-20-2) took two wickets each.
In reply, 138 runs opening partnership took the match away from Bahrain. Man of the Match Dipendra Chand made a blistering inning of 75 runs (69 balls, 12 fours) while his partner Nurdhoj Sen contributed 41 runs (58 balls, 6 fours). Both were dismissed in consecutive deliveries (20.6 & 21.1 overs). Wicketkeeper/Batsman Aadil Khan then hit the winning four to win the Match by eight wickets in 21.2 overs.
Nepal will take on Iran at the Bayuemas cricket ground on Tuesday.
