The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has officially unveiled the schedule for the highly anticipated TB Shah Memorial Cup, the U16 National Cricket Tournament, which will kick off on June 2nd in Karnali Province.

This year’s edition will follow a single round-robin format, featuring seven provincial teams battling it out for the national title. The top two teams at the end of the group stage will compete in the final on June 14th. Matches will be hosted at two venues in Surkhet — the Kalunchowk Cricket Ground and the Birendranagar Cricket Ground.

The tournament carries added significance as standout performers will be selected for Team Nepal, which is set to participate in the ACC U16 East Zone Cup later this year.

Nepal, the defending champions, will be looking to maintain their dominance. They clinched the title last year by defeating Thailand under the leadership of Abhishek Tiwari in June 2023.

The fixture list reveals an exciting start with Karnali taking on Madhesh and Sudur Paschim facing Koshi on the opening day. The competition promises thrilling cricket action, with every match offering young talents a shot at national representation.

The tournament is named in honor of the late TB Shah, commemorating his contributions to Nepali cricket.
