The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced the final squad of the Nepal U19 Women’s Cricket Team for the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier. After a two-phase of closed camp, a 14-player squad has been announced in the captaincy of Puja Mahato.
Puja, with extensive experience playing for the senior side, will captain the team, while Sony Pakhrin, a talented youngster from Bagmati, will serve as her deputy. Other promising players in the squad include Jyotsnika Marasini, Krishma Gurung, Sabitri Dhami, Sana Prabin, Kusum Godar, and Seemana KC. Additionally, Trishna BK from Karnali has also earned a spot on the team.
The selection tournament is set to take place in the UAE in November. Nepal will face Thailand, Kuwait, and the UAE, playing two matches against each team from November 6 to November 13. The winner of the tournament will qualify for the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025.
