Kathmandu – Bhawana Ghimire, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced her resignation on Friday, July 1, 2016.

Ghimire announced her resignation via her personal twitter account. She joined the cricket association on October 2014.

Despite her resignation, She is still the local co-ordinator for ICC and Cricket in Nepal. Her 21 months tenure saw ups and downs for Nepal Cricket. She was praised by the fans and players in Nepal.

“I tried to run a system in Cricket administration in Nepal and I completely failed”, Ghimire told. “I am happy to serve Nepal Cricket from outside the boundary”, she further added.
