Sudurpaschim Royals have appointed Australia’s former cricketer Brad Hodge as their mentor for the upcoming first edition of Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024.
Hodge, 49, is a 2007 Cricket World Cup champion with Australia. He made his debut in year 2005 after making plenty of records in domestic cricket. However, his opportunities to represent Australia were limited to six Tests, 25 ODIs and 15 T20Is.
During his playing career, he competed in almost every major league around the world like IPL, PSL, Bigh Bash and CPL. After retiring, he has the coaching experience with IPL teams Gujrat Lions and Punjab Kings.
Dipendra Singh Airee is the marquee player of Sudurpaschim. They signed Aarif Sheikh, Binod Bhandari and Avinash Bohara from A category in the players auction.
Nepal Premier League is scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 21 (Mangsir 15 to Paush 6) in Kathmandu.
