Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has roped in experienced South African coach Nic Pothas as a consultant to bolster the national team’s preparations for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 series in Scotland.
In an official statement issued by CAN, confirmed Pothas’ short-term appointment as a consultant coach to assist the Nepali squad during their crucial tri-nation campaign featuring hosts Scotland and the Netherlands, scheduled from June 2 to 12.
Pothas brings with him a wealth of international coaching experience, having previously worked with top-tier national sides including Sri Lanka, West Indies, and most recently Bangladesh. His expertise is expected to provide a significant edge as Nepal aims to sharpen its performance on the global stage.
The national team is currently undergoing final preparations, and officials are optimistic that Pothas’ guidance will enhance the squad’s competitive edge and tactical approach throughout the series.
With the League 2 matches offering vital points for World Cup qualification, Nepal is hoping to make a strong statement under the seasoned supervision of their new consultant.
