Nepal recorded their highest-ever total in an ODI match on Sunday, posting a formidable 321 runs against Scotland in a CWC League 2 match held in Dundee. Despite the historic batting effort, the Nepali side narrowly missed out on victory, falling just two runs short in a nail-biting finish.
This marks only the second time Nepal has crossed the 300-run threshold in ODI cricket. Their previous best was 310 for 8 against Oman at the TU Cricket Ground in April 2023. Ironically, until this match, Nepal’s highest score in T20 Internationals, 314 against Mongolia, was greater than any of their ODI totals.
The innings was built on strong contributions from Bhim Sharki, who anchored the top order with a solid 73. He was well supported by Sompal Kami and Dipendra Singh Airee, who scored brisk 67 and 56 respectively, giving Nepal the late surge they needed to breach the 320-run mark.
Nepal were bowled out for 321 runs, playing the full 50 overs.
Nepal’s highest ODI totals to date:
- 321/10 (50 overs) vs Scotalnd (2025)
- 310/8 (50 overs) vs Oman (2023)
- 297/10 (49.1 overs) vs PNG (2023)
- 297/9 (49.5 overs) vs Scotland (2025)
- 290/8 (50 overs) vs Zimbabwe (2023)
