The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has unveiled Nepal’s squad for the Women’s T20I Tri-Series. CAN has finalized the 15-player squad under the leadership of Indu Barma for the Tri-Series including Thailand and the Netherlands.
The squad includes a few fresh faces for the series. Left-arm pacer Ishwori Bist returns to the team, while Rajmati Airee reclaims her spot. Additionally, Sudurpaschim’s Rewati Dhami and Bagmati’s left-arm spinner Manisha Upadhyaya have been included after impressive performances in the PM Cup.
Young wicketkeeper-batter Alisha Yadav has been included in the squad, replacing regular Kajol Shrestha, who misses out. Additionally, pace bowler Sabnam Rai and finisher Dolly Bhatta are absent from the lineup.
The Nepalese side will be involved in a series against two strong opponents – Thailand and the Netherlands. The series kicks off on January 30, with Nepal taking on the Netherlands, and concludes on February 7 with a battle of Nepal and Thailand. Notably, the tournament will follow a triple round-robin format with the table topper emerging as the champions.
