The Nepalese women’s cricket team has been bid farewell by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) today (Saturday) as they prepare to face the Sri Lanka Women’s Development Squad ahead of the upcoming ACC Women’s Asia Cup.
Nepal is set to play three T20 matches against the Sri Lanka Development Squad in Surrey Village, Maggona. This tour aims to help the Nepalese team adapt to the climate and local conditions. The Women’s Asia Cup 2024 begins on July 19 in Sri Lanka.
The first match will take place on July 9, followed by the second match the next day. The Nepalese team will have various practice sessions at Colts and Moore for five days before playing the final T20 match on July 16.

Nepal will play their first game of the tournament against the UAE on July 19. Nepal is in Group A alongside India, Pakistan and UAE.
This will mark Nepal’s third appearance in the Women’s Asia Cup. They are returning to the tournament after an eight-year hiatus, having previously competed in 2012 and 2016.
