Madhesh Province announces squad for Jay Trophy Men’s Elite Cup

Madhesh Province has announced their squad for the Jay Trophy Men’s Elite Cup. Harishankar Sah will captain the 15-player squad in the longer-format cricket, played with a red ball and traditional white attire.

Abhishek Tiwari, the former U16 captain and recent U19 standout, serves as the vice-captain of the team. The pace bowling unit features Rupesh Singh, Rajesh Yadav, and Bishal Patel. The batting lineup includes Mayan Yadav, Niraj Kumar Yadav, Rahul Mandal, and Himanshu Dutta.

Ranjit Kumar, Afrudin Rain and Pradeep Paswan are the spinners. Meanwhile, Arniko Yadav and Bishal Susling, the star-spinning all-rounders, are absent from the main squad. They are listed as reserve players, along with Raj Patel and Safwan Ali.

Star players Anil Sah and Pawan Sarraf are the absentees from the squad. Both players are ruled out due to the injury.

The top four teams from the Prime Minister’s (PM) Cup National Cricket Tournament – Nepal Police Club (NPC), Tribhuwan Army Club (TAC), Bagmati Province and Madhesh Province will compete in the Jay Trophy. The tournament starts on 5th January and the matches will be held simultaneously in Janakpur and Parsa.
