Gulshan Jha‘s stunt with the bat in the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier Final brought his maiden Fifty in T20Is at the T.U. Cricket ground in Kathmandu on Sunday .
Jha came at the crease when Nepal were tottering for 60 runs, losing four wickets in the tenth over. He counter-attacked the Oman’s bowling attack with 4 sixes and 5 boundaries to bring up his maiden fifty in just 20 balls.
Captain Rohit Paudel and Jha helped Nepal to rescue the early start and helped put up a fight with 78 run-partnership for the fifth wicket.
Nepal managed to add 124 in the last ten overs and finished the innings at 184 for 6.
Rohit also brought up his fifth T20I fifty in 36 balls. Karan KC played a cameo innings of 20 runs from 6 balls towards the end.
