Nepal’s medium pacer, Ashmina Karmacharya has topped the bowling chart of the ACC Women’s T20 Championship. Ashmina ended the tournament with eight wickets from four matches after picking up a terrific five-wicket haul against UAE in the semi-final match.
Hong Kong’s Maryam Bibi also grabbed 8 wickets in the tournament playing 5 matches. Maryam bowled 13 overs in the tournament, 1.5 overs more compared to Ashmina.
Meanwhile, Nepal’s Sita Ranamagar and Sangita Rai also became joint second-highest wicket-taker picking up 7 wickets in the. UAE’s Indhuja Nandakumar and Bhutan’s Sonam Paldon also pocketed 7 wickets each in the tournament.
UAE Women were crowned the champions of the tournament on Saturday after defeating the host Malaysia by 5 wickets. Both Malaysia and UAE will now feature in the upcoming Asia Cup.
