Kathmandu – International Cricket Council (ICC) has approved the request of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) for the replacement of injured Prithu Baskota in the Nepal Squad for the upcoming ICC World Twenty20 Cup 2014 to be held in Bangladesh.
All Rounder Prithu Baskota has not recovered from his Knee injury and will be replaced by Left-Arm Fast Bowler Amrit Bhattarai. ICC’s technical Committee gave the green signal.
The Event Technical Committee of the ICC World Twenty20 Bangladesh 2014 consists of Geoff Allardice (ICC, chairman), Campbell Jamieson (IDI representative), Mahbubul Anam BCB Director), Khaled Mahmud Sujan (BCB Director and former captain), Russel Arnold – (independent nominee) and Pommie Mbangwa (independent nominee).
Bhattarai couldn’t represent Nepal in the ICC World Cup Qualifier 2014 in New Zealand but played in the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier held in UAE in November last year.
