The APF Club Women will play against Lumbini Province in the 1st semi-final of the Women’s T20 cricket competition on Monday under the 9th National Games at Pokhara Rangshala.
APF Women defeated Sudurpaschim in their last group match by five wickets. After winning the toss, Sudurpashchim batted first and managed 92 runs losing three wickets. APF achieved the target in 16 overs with five wickets in hand. For APF, Indu Burma top-scored with 45 runs from 43 balls with five boundaries. Similarly, Opener Jyoti Pandey and Middle-order Roma Thapa hit 11 runs each. Sita Rana Magar, the other opener, missed out today and managed 4 runs from two balls including one boundary.
Anu Kadayat, Manisha Chaudhary, Dolly Bhatt, and Sneha Mahara, all grabbed one wicket each for Sudurpaschim.
In the first innings, Sudurpaschim made its highest total run in the tournament. Thanks to Ritu Kanaujia, who scored an unbeaten 35 runs from 46 balls and hit two fours. Similarly, Sneha Mehra scored 18 runs from 20 balls and Captain Bindu Rawal contributed 8 runs. Rubi Poddar at the top of the order managed 23 runs from 35 balls, including three boundaries.
APF’s Nary Thapa, Indu Barma, and Sushma Shrestha picked one wicket each.
Unbeaten APF Women Club finished the group stage with four wins from four matches and topped the group A table with 8 points. They will take Lumbini Province in the first semifinal match scheduled on Monday.
