Kathmandu – International Cricket Council (ICC) is preparing to give chance to Kenya and Nepal to play World Cricket League Championship despite their stay as Division 2 teams.
According to MyRepublica, the working committee meeting of ICC on wednesday and thursday will take the formal decision.
The official press announcement will confirm after the meeting ends on thursday. Nepal lost to Kenya by 5 wicket in the crucial match for the promotion to Division 1. Similarly, Kenya avoided their relegation after defeating Nepal in the same match.
Despite Nepal’s best performance in the tournament, they were out routed by Kenya again and lost its third position. “ICC is in favor of giving chance to top four teams to play World Cricket League Championship and also the World Cup Qualifiers”, sources said quoting Pubudu Dassanayake.
