Kathmandu – The government has allocated a total budget of Rs 200 million for the construction of international level stadium – Mulpani Cricket Ground, Kathmandu.
Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat announced the national budget for the fiscal year 2071/2072 on sunday. Besides the construction of Mulpani cricket stadium, he also announced plans to construct at least one cricket ground in all the 240 election constituencies within three years. The government has stated that cricket grounds would be constructed in 53 constituencies within this fiscal year.
About Rs 1.48 billion has been allocated for the sports sector in the new budget.
