Kathmanndu- The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a preliminary 18-man squad for the upcoming ICC WCL Division 2 to be held in Namibia from January 17 to 24.
Rajesh Pulami who impressed the selectors during the Sir Lanka tour has managed to make it to the team along with his fellow teammate and fast bowler Karan KC. Anil Mandal and Praddep Airee has been left out the squad that went to Sir Lanka for practice matches.
Sharad Veswakar has returned to the team after successfully recovering from piles surgery whereas veteran all-rounder Mehaboob Alam has also been listed.
The young and talented Aarif Sheikh makes a comeback to the team as well, along with medium pacer Ram Naresh Giri.
Other members include Paras Khadka (C), Gyanendra Malla, Subash Khakurel, Binod Bhandari, Shakti Gauchan, Basanta Regmi, Sompal Kami,Naresh Budhayer, Bhuwan Karki, Amrit Bhattarai, Sagar Pun and Rahul BK.
The closed camp is scheduled to start on December 15 in Kathmandu before the team leaves for a ten days preparation in South Africa in January 3.
