Sudurpaschim Women registered their second win in the Lalitpur Mayor Women’s T20 Championship on Saturday. Ritu Kanoujiya’s all-round performance helped them bag a seven-wicket win over Madhesh Province.
Opting to bat first, Madhesh were wrapped up for a mere 65 runs in 19 overs. Laxmi Saud (4-0-15-3) dismissed three batters, while Ritu Kanoujiya (4-2-4-2) and Samjhana Khadka pocketed two each. Only Saraswati Kumari and Alisha Yadav managed to cross a double-digit score, adding 15 each.
Sudurpaschim chased the total in just 10.3 overs, losing three wickets. Ritu Kanoujiya scored the highest 21* runs, while Rubi Poddar assisted an unbeaten 14 runs.
Ritu Kanoujiya was adjudged as player of the match for her all-round performance.
This is Sudurpaschim’s second win in three matches. Meanwhile, Madhesh saw a second defeat in a row.
