Nepal has wrapped up PNG for a mere 95 runs in their third match of the series at TU Cricket Ground. This is PNG’s second-lowest score in ODI after 82 against Nepal itself. Opting to bowl first worked really well for Nepal as PNG struggled to deal with Nepali spinners.
The visitors had a tough start losing a couple of wickets within the seventh over. Assad Vala (20) and Sese Bau (18) shared 32 runs for the third wicket, which was the highest partnership of the inning. The team couldn’t stabilize after the dismissal of Assad Vala in the 20th over for 70 runs. Nepalese spinners kept troubling the visiting side as they lost the last six wickets for just 25 runs, being bowled out in 32 overs. No batter down the order managed a double-digit score.

Sandeep Lamichhane was the pick of a bowler for Nepal. He picked up the last wicket and completed the fifer (10-1-25-5), his third in ODI. Kushal Malla and Lalit Rajbanshi also picked up two wickets each, while Sompal Kami pocketed one.
