Rohit Paudel, captain of Nepal’s national cricket team, was honoured at the NSJF Pulsar Sports Award 2080, where he was named the Best Player of the Year (Male).
As Rohit is currently in Canada for Nepal’s second CWC League 2 Tri-Series, his mother and brother accepted the award on his behalf.
Rohit outshined his teammate Dipendra Singh Airee, along with Ananta Tamang (Football), Mohammad Sekhu Alam (Karate), and Subash Tamang (Golf) to claim the title.
Nepal played the Asia Cup for the first time and returned to the World Cup after a decade under Paudel’s captaincy. He was also the top run scorer in T20I.
Similarly, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN)’s former President Binay Raj Pandey was also honoured with Life Time Achievement in the ceremony.
