Nepal’s captain Rohit Paudel and star allrounder Dipendra Singh Airee will miss the MAX60 Caribbean Cricket League due to a visa issue. Both players were scheduled to travel to the Caribbean after the conclusion of the GT20 League, but a visa issue will see them missing the T10 tournament.

The T10 Franchise League in the Caribbean is set to take place in the Cayman Islands from August 18th to 25th. Rohit Paudel was drafted by Miami Lions whilst Dipendra Singh Airee was recruited by the Grand Cayman Stingrays (now Grand Cayman Jaguars).

Their manager, Ravi Timalsina, confirmed the visa issue, stating, “Both players will remain in Canada and train there.” Due to the same visa complications, Paudel and Airee also had to miss the opening game for their respective teams in the GT20 Canada.

The Nepalese team is already in India for practice ahead of the CWC League 2 series. They will train for two weeks at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore before heading to Canada for the series. Nepal will compete against Canada and Oman in the second Tri-Series under CWC League 2 in September.

Apart from Airee and Paudel, Nepal’s star leggie, Sandeep Lamichhane is also in Canada. They will miss the session in India.
