The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has unveiled Nepal’s U19 squad for the U19 World Cup Qualifier. Naren Bhatta has been appointed as the captain of the 18-player squad with Abhishek Tiwari as his deputy.
Naren and Abhishek, having previously played for the U19 team and at the highest level for their provincial side, add valuable balance to the squad. The final squad was confirmed following a competitive CAN Youth Cup and the second Phase Camp. Notable names in the lineup include Santosh Yadav, Dayananda Mandal, Roshan Bishwakarma, and Yuvraj Khatri, all of whom bring valuable experience from the U19 team. Naren and
Nepal is set to host the ICC U19 World Cup Asia Qualifier, beginning on April 12. The tournament will feature Afghanistan, Hong Kong, UAE, Oman, and host nation Nepal, all competing for a single spot in the prestigious event.
Nepal will host Afghanistan for a Youth ODI (YODI) series as a prelude to the Asia Qualifier. The two teams will compete in a three-match series as part of their tournament preparations.
